about

Radio Berlin's debut full-length, ‘Sibling’ is unique fusion of synthesizer-tinged new wave and UK style post-punk done long before it came back en vogue. “Take the synth-pop out of early Cure, delete the suicide from Joy Division, and reunite the twisted remains of Television, and you'll find yourself a little closer to the new wavish territory occupied by Radio Berlin. the 10 tracks on "Sibling" create an awkward, howling beast of gloom, complete with reverb-soaked guitars. Merciless nostalgia tripping? Mescaline flashbacks to your pre-goth days? Whatever the excuse, Radio Berlin prove that the little bit of rock noir that lurks in us all feels and sounds good.” - Monday Magazine, May 2000

This album was originally released on CD by Love Und Romance and vinyl LP by Reassemblage in November 1999. This album was then re-released and re-packaged with Radio Berlin’s “1998” demo in 2003 on Action Driver. The artwork on this digital version is the original 1999 version.

This re-release version contains not only the original "All Systems Go (Secret Version)", a hidden track from the original CD version of the album, but also two bonus tracks not on previous versions of this album. These include the original version of "All Systems Go" (originally on the band's 1998 demo) as well as "The Connection", which was recorded at the same time as the album tracks but released exclusively on the Radio Berlin/Kid Commando split 7" on the Australian label Radio One in the summer of 1999. The recording on this re-release is actually a vinyl rip as no-one knows where the originals are.

The rescanned CD artwork from the 1999 release contained in the download in PDF format.
